Securing and Optimzing

For managed customers - Virpus Networks does the initial securing and optimizing of your service at no cost to you.  For semi-managed customers, this is billable at $30.00.  This also applies to managed customers who request multiple securing and optimizing to be done (ex. if you reformat your VPS).

Below is a task list of what is done:

1.. yum update and zend optimizer
2.. Install root kit checker
3.. Install root breach detector
4.. Install APF, BFD
5.. Install mytop
6.. Set SSH login message
7.. Perform MySQL and Apache optimization
8.. Install mod_seccurity, mod_dosevasive, mod_perl
9.. Optimize sysctl.conf
10. Optimizing control panel for best performance
